Yes, you can. You can size two windows to fit on your HDTV screen at the same time. This way, you can keep an eye on your baby in one window while you watch a TV show or movie in another window. You will need a separate computer in your baby’s room that has a camera and an Internet connection. In this SmartFact we will describe how to monitor your baby using Skype, although you could use another web-based video calling service. We assume that you have already set up Skype service for both your PC and the PC in your baby’s room.
Press F2 to activate the ZDTV taskbar. Close any unused sites or applications. Hover over the Friends/Messaging entry in the ZDTV menu list. Click on Skype. Establish a video call to the computer in your baby’s room. Now adjust the Skype video window to a size you like and move it to a corner of your screen. Minimize this window to make the ZDTV menu visible.
Next, hover over the TV or Video entry in the ZDTV menu list. Open a site that you want to view. Click the Resize button in the top right corner of the browser. Adjust the window to a size you like. Now move your cursor to the far right-hand edge of the screen to activate the ZDTV taskbar. Click the Skype icon to un-minimize the Skype window. Adjust both windows so you can view them comfortably.
Now select and launch the show you want to watch. Do not select to view the show in full screen mode!
Note: Some sites offer a pop-up option that provides a window for viewing shows that doesn’t include the browser toolbar. If you see this option, you may want to select it in order to maximize the area of your screen that you can devote to your show.
